Years as a Defensive Leader
A leader of the Cowboy defense with consecutive 100+ tackle seasons. With 103 tackles in 2014 and 108 in 2015, he became the first Cowboy since Keith Burns in 1992 and 1993 to post consecutive seasons with 100 tackles or more.
2016Senior YearCowboys
- Posted another impressive 101 tackle season, completing three consecutive 100+ tackle seasons
- Ranked 16th in career total tackles since 2005 in the Big 12 conference
- Recorded 3 interceptions during the season, demonstrating strong coverage skills

2015Junior YearCowboys
- Received the Leslie O'Neal Award for the team's outstanding defensive player

- Recorded a season-high 16 tackles against Baylor and 13 against UTSA

- Became the first Oklahoma State underclassman in 18 years to reach the 100-tackle mark

- Class 5A first-team all-state selection by the Associated Press Sports Editors
- Accounted for 10 touchdowns as a senior (two interception returns, two punt returns, a fumble return and five rushing)
- Logged 58 tackles and six interceptions his senior year
- Four-star prospect by Scout.com, ranked #30 among America's safeties
- Member of the San Antonio Express-News Super Team as a defensive back and return specialist
